Two More Arrested in Local Shoplifting Ring Case
This week in Southern California police report that they have made two more arrests in a shoplifting ring case. The thieves involved in the ring had been targeting Visalia Mall said officers.
23-year-old Marisol Juarez and 28-year-old Javier Sanchez were reported as the suspects. Both are San Diego residents and were placed under arrest this weekend at the Tulare Motel. Earlier in the week police had arrested 24-year-old Jonathan Salazar and 33-year-old Oscar Pitao in the same theft case.
According to local law enforcement, the group stands accused of stealing items that were valued at over $7,700 from stores throughout the mall including recognized names like Hollister and American Eagle Outfitters.
Police have reason to believe the four suspects are part of a larger ring that operates up and down the state of California. They say that the group has also targeted retailers in nearby cities.
