Craigslist Ad Leads to Theft
Be careful about what you sell on Craigslist because you could attract the wrong type of buyer.
Officers in San Diego have been working to track down the man responsible for a multitude of theft crimes stemming from Craigslist ads. The latest attack happened on August 1st when the suspect was invited to the victim's home. She took him into her backyard to show him an iPad and he pulled a small black revolver out to intimate her. A similar attack occurred on July 31st at the residence of a man trying to sell another Apple product. The suspect pulled a gun on the victim and left with the item in tow.
While detectives with the San Diego Police Department have identified the male suspect, a 34-year-old male, they are still searching for his accomplice who is believed to be his girlfriend.
