Detective Faces Serious DUI Charges
Police in California were disappointed to learn that their DUI suspect was a member of one police department.
At the end of the summer, a car accident left one woman with an injured foot and a city with serious bills for property damage. Although it took police several months to track down their suspect, the 47-year-old detective is now behind bars on multiple charges. The detective now faces one count of injury hit-and-run and two counts of felony injury DUI for running over a woman's foot after driving through an apartment complex.
In addition, the detective was also charged with four counts of DUI and hit-and-run property damage for driving through a water fountain and sideswiping several cars.
The detective was later released on $50,000 bail. It is uncertain whether she is still employed by the police department.
