Man on Probation Detained for Theft

A man already on probation for unrelated charges was detained once again for theft. Based on their investigation, San Diego police identified the suspect as a 37-year-old man that they believed to be a thief. They obtained a search warrant and went to his home where they found a stolen purse and several other items.

The identity of the man was obtained when he tried to cash one of her stolen checks earlier in the week. In addition to the items he had stolen, the man was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and the credit card of a different victim. He was brought to a jail in Vista on charges of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of stolen property and suspicion of felony burglary. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
