Suspect Unleashes Dog on Officers

Officers in San Diego not only had to fight off a suspect but his large Rottweiler puppy as well. The suspect panicked during the two-hour standoff with the police and attempted to scare them off by throwing the animal at them.

While it is uncertain why the police were called to arrest the 30-year-old suspect in the first place, it is known that he engaged them in a 2-hour standoff. When police were able to drag him out of the house, he proceeded to assault them, giving one officer a broken nose while another suffered a mild concussion.

The suspect was arrested on charges of resisting arrest using violence and suspicion of assault likely to produce great bodily injury. Thankfully, both officers are expected to make a full recovery.

If you have been arrested for assault recently, you should not take your charges lightly. Instead, contact the Superior Law Center immediately so you have the opportunity to consult with a San Diego criminal defense attorney.
