Director of Street Operations Suspected of Lewd Act with a Minor

Shortly after being appointed as the director of street operations in San Diego Mario Sierra, 47, has now been charged on suspicion of lewd act with a minor. He was taken into custody on Monday morning and will be arraigned the following day. 

When a report last week showed that street maintenance was being poorly coordinated, Sierra was given the title of director for the new department. In light of this new information Sierra has been placed on unpaid administrative leave, according to the city's chief operating officer. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
