Local Coach Arrested for Sexual Misconduct

After receiving several calls about sexual misconduct between a high school student and her coach, officers with the Chula Vista police department launched an investigation.

What they discovered shocked the local community. The suspect, a 49 year old male, had engaged in sexual relations with one of the female students on the field hockey team that he coached. The relationship had developed over several months, with the suspect meeting the student several times to engage in sexual activities. At this time, t is unknown whether the suspect has engaged other students in the past while coaching at local facilities.

After speaking with the young girl, officers were able to detain the suspect at an event last week on charges of unlawful sexual conduct. He is now being held at the county jail on $270,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court this Friday in South Bay to discuss the sex crimes charges filed against him.
