Medical Marijuana Dispensary Reports Robbery
This week, officers with the San Diego police department were called to a robbery in progress at a medical marijuana dispensary in Normal Heights. While two of the suspects were able to escape after pepper-spraying the employees inside, one man was left behind to be arrested by officers. When officers arrived at the location of the robbery, they found that the employees had activated a door lock that trapped the remaining suspect.
None of the employees were seriously injured as they were behind a security partition at the time of the attempted robbery. However, the officers were exposed to the remnants of the pepper spray that were lingering in the air.
