One Man Dead and Another Arrested After Stabbing

A stabbing in Spring Valley left one man dead and another arrested last week.

According to detectives with the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force, Hector Ivan Hernandez-Romero was arrested for the death of a 30-year-old friend. At this time the man's identity is not being released to the public. The incident occurred around 5:50 a.m. at a home on Central Avenue near Fairway Drive.

Police reports show that the victim, who was stabbed in the chest, was visiting a friend at a home on Sacramento Avenue. Hernandez-Romero arrived at that home, argued with the victim, and then stabbed him. Although emergency personnel attempted to revive the injured man it was to no avail as he died at the scene.

Hernandez-Romero is currently in jail for one charge of murder.
