Craigslist Ad response Leads to Murder
Three teenage boys were arrested this week in San Diego for the robbery and
murder of a man responding to a Craigslist ad.
According to police reports the victim, an 18-year-old male, along with his girlfriend, met with the three suspects on Casey Street in order to buy the item they were reportedly selling. Instead, the three 17-year-old males took his money and drove off. The victims attempted to follow the suspects, in order to get their license plate number, but the suspects quickly realized what was happening and fired at the car. The bullet struck and killed the driver.
The suspects then sped away until they crashed their vehicle in a cul-de-sac. They took off on foot and were arrested just one block away following a police search.
