Police Say Three Were Involved in String of Robberies
Police in Georgia have reason to believe that three suspects taken into custody last week are responsible for not just one, but a string of robberies around Murietta.
When officers responded to a robbery call at a pharmacy, they found a man trying to steal some merchandise from the store. The officers attempted to detain him outside of the pharmacy, but he put up a fight, causing minor injuries to one of the arresting officers. He was arrested on multiple charges, including conspiracy, battery on an officer, burglary and possession of stolen property.
His two accomplices were sitting outside the pharmacy waiting for him in the getaway vehicle. The accomplices, a 58-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and commercial burglary. Based on the method of burglary, officers believe that the trio is responsible for similar theft crimes committed in nearby towns over the past few weeks.
Two of the suspects were already wanted on "parolee at large" warrants.
