Hit and run is one of many criminal traffic violations that a person may be accused of committing. When a suspect is also accused of DUI (driving under the influence) and of causing the death of another person in an accident while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
felony charges are likely to be filed. Considering the serious nature of these charges and the impact they may have on the freedom of the defendant, it is important to involve a criminal defense lawyer as soon as possible.
