Man Arrested on 9 Counts of Rape
A 39-year-old man has been arrested on nine counts of forcible rape. The man is a member of a motorcycle club made up of current and retired military members. He and his group were staying at a cabin near the Mexican border while the group was having a horseshoe tournament and enjoying live music.
The suspected man reportedly walked away from the group with a 24-year-old woman who he then violated. Authorities arrested the man later that evening. They believe that he intended to cross the border into Mexico after attacking the young woman.
People who know the suspect say that they are shocked by the news of his arrest and are having an exceptionally hard time coping with the situation. The 39-year-old man is currently unemployed and married with four children. He is being held in a county jail with bail set at $900,000.
