Mother Sells Drug Addicted Baby
One young woman is in serious trouble not just for drug crimes, but for selling her baby boy.
Allegedly, the 26-year-old woman attended her nephew's graduation in San Diego, California before turning herself in. When she learned that there was a warrant out for her arrest, she decided to go peacefully. Officers say that the woman's baby boy was born addicted to Methadone.
Since his mother was a drug user when she was pregnant with him, the baby was born with an addiction that required medical care. However, she did not have the money to pay for his medications, so she worked out an agreement with her own drug dealers.
The dealers, a husband and wife team known for selling prescription drugs, agreed to raise the baby as their own for the price of $13,000. The baby boy, now two years old, will be placed into protective care until the case has been resolved.
