Numerous Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested
Working together to bring down known associates of a motorcycle gang, the FBI and two other police departments arrested 26 people last week in California.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the agency worked with members of local police departments to focus on a well-known motorcycle gang. After months of preparation, SWAT teams from all agencies were sent to several locations with arrest warrants in hand. In total, 26 people were taken into custody, while six more people were already behind bars on other charges.
It took 250 officers to tackle the 19 locations where the gang members were believed to be hiding out and/or conducting illegal activities. In addition to the arrests, officers confiscated unspecified quantities of drugs, including methamphetamine, as well as ten guns and thousands of dollars in cash. The suspects were arrested on various drug crimes charges, including conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
