Griffin O'Neal Skips Court and Goes Straight to Rehab

Instead of appearing in court, the son of a famous actor checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic. The 47-year-old, Griffin O'Neal, is known because he is the son of famous actor, Ryan O'Neal. However, he has also become the topic of many news stories due to his history of criminal behavior. His latest legal troubles involve a car accident that left several people injured. When police arrived at the scene of the accident they found O'Neal behind the wheel incapacitated by drugs and alcohol. Following the collision, he was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and felony driving under the influence (DUI).

Since he did not show up in court this week, the court issued an arrest warrant in his name. Even though he was at the rehabilitation clinic that day, the judge is may not reverse the warrant since O'Neal already has a criminal history. O'Neal's lawyer told the judge that his client is having trouble with sobriety and he is concerned about his welfare.
