Suspect Jumps Out of Window to Escape Arrest
One man tried to escape arrest by jumping out a window and he might have been successful if police did were not waiting for him nearby.
According to the arrest report, the 27-year-old man is believed to have burglarized several apartment units over the past month. Based on evidence provided at the scene, police were able to obtain an arrest and search warrant for him. When the young man realized that the police were there to arrest him, he jumped out a back window.
What resulted next did not work well for his escape route. He attempted to jump onto a nearby tree but instead hit a wall and then fell to the ground unconscious. When he regained consciousness two days later, police arrived once again to formally arrest him. He has been charged with burglary as well as defacing property, grand theft, failure to appear on a felony charge and being a repeat offender.
