| San Diego - Convicted Sex Offender is Charged with Murder |
| Posted By San Diego Criminal Defense Lawyer |
 |
On Tuesday March 9, 2010 a judge issued a gag order which delayed the process of a hearing in the a case against 30 year-old John Albert Gardner III. Apparently the prosecution had hoped for a trial by July, but the defense is pushing for one in September. The defendant is a convicted sex offender and is being charged with the disappearance and
murder of 17-year old Chelsea King. Chelsea's body was found in a park just north of San Diego, CA.
Gardner is also under investigation for his possible connection with the murder of another teen girl, 14-year old Amber Dubois. Amber's remains were recently found just ten miles from the site where Chelsea's body was found. The young girl went missing last year near her high school. Gardner has pleaded not guilty to this accusation as well as the charges against him for the other counts of attempted
rape and murder.
If you have been charged with murder, rape, or any other crime in San Diego or the surrounding areas you should hire a defense lawyer who has experience representing individuals who have been charged for multiple crimes.

Convictions for any crime are detrimental to your future. Sometimes having a particular crime on your record can prevent you from living certain places, operating a vehicle, or working a certain job. The effects of a first time criminal conviction on your future can be serious, but they do not have to be permanent.
You might consider a criminal expungement. This is different from the a pardon or the process of
appeals and can offer some relief from negative background checks if granted. The legal system offers an expungement proceeding which allows first time offenders to file a lawsuit seeking the "erasing" of the records containing the information of their prior conviction. This process can be confusing and requires the experience and service of a knowledgeable
San Diego expungement lawyer.
Don't let a first time conviction keep you from the future opportunities you deserve! If you have a conviction on your record that you would like to have expunged you should contact a
San Diego criminal defense attorney from the Superior Law Center today.

| San Diego DUI Laws and Consequences |
| Posted By San Diego DUI Defense Lawyer |
 |
The state of California has two types of statues that are used to determine how an individual will and can be charged for a
DUI. They are as follows:
The first statute compares the individual who is driving under the influence with that of a sober individual. This regulation concludes whether or not the accused individual is more or less impaired that a sober person would be in that situation. This decision is made by the officer who pulls a person over for
driving under the influence and it has nothing to do with blood alcohol content.
The second statute deals with the blood alcohol content or BAC. in San Diego and all over the state of California an individuals blood alcohol level must be less than a .08%. A driver can be arrested for exceeding this limit regardless of their capability to operate a vehicle and / or pass
field sobriety tests.
If you have been charged with a DUI you have the right to a fair trial. You should always be informed of your rights! Please contact our
